The MODBUS IO server is the Flexy standard remote IO communication setup. It is used to configure the Flexy as:
- a Modbus RTU master.
- a Modbus TCP slave and master.
This MODBUS IO server gives access to values for equipment having a Modbus interface, which can be:
- Serial – Modbus RTU protocol will be used
- Ethernet – Modbus TCP protocol will be used.
The Flexy is capable of mixing the access to Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP, depending on how the tag address has been defined in the Flexy.
